In P2P trading, all payments must be made using an account that matches the payer's verified identity. Regular users must also receive payments into their own verified accounts. Verified Merchants may use non-verified accounts for receipts, and Group Merchants are permitted to use team payment cards for both payments and receipts.

1. How to check WeChat real-name verification?

Method 1: Add Seller & Check Last Character of Real Name

You need to add the seller on WeChat. When you initiate a transfer, you can see the last character of their real name to verify if the payment is made under their real name.

Method 2: Request an electronic transfer receipt after the transfer.

You need to add the seller on WeChat. Find the funds, click on View Details > Request Transfer Receipt > Apply, enter the other party's full name, and then submit the application.

How to check Alipay real-name registration?

Method 1: Request an electronic receipt after the transfer.

After receiving the funds, click on Transfer details, then Apply for electronic receipt. Fill in your email address and complete the seller's name according to the seller's verified information displayed on the platform. Finally, click Confirm. Please check your email promptly to verify that the seller's account name matches.

Method 2: Add an invitee for transfer and check the last character of the real name.

If you have added the seller's Alipay account, you can check if the last character of the real name matches by viewing the transfer details. To ensure the real name is accurate, please apply for an electronic receipt using the first method. You can tap Authentication next to the nickname, enter the seller's surname, and confirm if the payment is made under the real name.

What should I do if I receive a payment from a non-verified account?

Step 1: Verify whether you have actually received the funds

Log in to your linked payment account (bank card, Alipay, WeChat, etc.) and personally confirm whether the funds have been received.Important: Do not rely solely on SMS notifications, transfer screenshots, or payment receipts provided by the buyer to confirm receipt. These can be forged.

Step 2: Take action based on your actual receipt status

If you have not received the funds:

  • Do not release the crypto.

  • Contact the buyer and request proof of payment.

If you have received the funds, but the payer's account name does not match their verified identity on the platform:

  • You may ask the buyer to cancel the order.

  • Return the funds to the buyer via the original payment method within 12 hours of receipt.

Step 3: File a dispute

If the buyer has not responded for an extended period, refuses to provide proof of payment, or does not cooperate with real-name verification, please file a dispute promptly so that a platform specialist can intervene.

Please note:

1. Do not confuse your WeChat or Alipay nickname with your real name information. Please refer to the tutorial to check if you have made a payment with your real name.

2. When filling out the electronic receipt, make sure to enter the correct email address. Please double-check it before submitting.

3. If you make a payment by scanning a code and cannot verify it yourself, you can contact the other party for confirmation. If they do not cooperate, you can dispute or contact online customer support.

4. If you receive a payment from an unverified account, please file a dispute or contact online customer support for assistance.

5. Group Merchants are permitted to receive and make payments without real-name verification.
